Not including transportation (BKK to Lampang) and food.
Meeting point is Lampang Bus Station at 5.30 am.
Package 2 : 2Day 3Night not over 2,000 baht
Including transportation but not including food.
Meeting point is Bangkok Bus Terminal at 8.40 pm.

Friday 17th March 2006
08.40 pm. Departure from Bangkok Bus Terminal (Chatuchak) or
Mor Chit Bus Terminal
Stay 1 night in the bus.

Saturday 18th March 2006
05.30 am. Arrive at Lampang Bus Station
06.00 am. Breakfast near the post office in city of Lampang
07.30 am. Visit Mae Moh Power Station
10.00 am. Visit Thai Elephant Conservation Center
12.00 am. Lunch at traditional noodle restaurant called "Kao Soi"
02.00 pm. Visit Phra That Lampang Luang Temple
04.00 pm. Visit Chae Sorn National Park
06.00 pm. Dinner
Stay 1 night at Chae Sorn National Park in an accommodation house.
Remark 900 baht for accommodation house 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom for 4 guests.
Facilities are bedding and fan. Extra bed will be charged 100 baht /person/night.

Sunday 19th March 2006

10.30 am. Departure from Chea Son Nation Park

02.30 pm. Visit Chedi Sao Luang Temple
03.00 pm. Visit Luang Por Kasem

- 05.30 น. ถึงขนส่งลำปาง เข้าตัวจังหวัด ค่ารถสองแถว 20 บ.
- 07.00 น. เหมารถสองแถว ประมาณ 300 บ.ชมสะพานรัษฎาภิเศก/วัดพระแก้วดอนเต้าสุชาดาราม/วัดเจดีย์ซาว
- 12.00 น. ไปสถานีไฟฟ้าแม่เมาะ ชมเหมืองลิกไนต์ ที่ศาลาชมวิว ค่ารถลำปาง-แม่เมาะ ขาไป 25 บ.+ เหมารถไปศาลาชมวิวประมาณ 250 บ.+ ค่ารถขากลับ 25 บ.
- 16.00 น. ไปวนอุทยานแห่งชาติแจ้ซ้อน 60 บ./เที่ยว ค่าเข้าอุทยาน 20 บ./คน ชมน้ำตก/บ่อน้ำร้อน/อาบน้ำแร่ 25 บ.

- 14.00 น. ถึงวัดพระธาตุลำปางหลวง
- 17.00 น. ชมเมืองบนรถม้า รอบเมืองเล็ก 150 บ./เดินเที่ยวย่านตลาดจีน/ค่ารถไปขนส่ง 20 บ.
- 21.00 น. เดินทางกลับกรุงเทพ โดยรถไฟด่วนพิเศษ(รถนอน ชั้น 2 ค่ารถ 634 บ.)

Mea Moh Lignite Basin of Lampang was founded in 1955, since Thailand faced the lack of oil to support the country. With the increasing price of oil in 1973, lignite was the cheapest natural resource to produce electricity. At the present time, there are thirteen electrical generators. Mae Moh Power Station produces electricity to support the power for houses, shops and factories in the northern and eastern parts of Thailand. Mea Moh Power Station is good for sightseeing not only because it is a large power station, but also becauese it is situated in a scenic setting and has nicely designed landscaping

เป็นแหล่งถ่านหินซึ่งค้นพบเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2460 มีปริมาณถึง 630 ล้านตัน และมีอายุประมาณ 40 ล้านปี พื้นที่เหมืองทั้งหมดเป็นของกรมป่าไม้ มีประมาณ 20,000 ไร่ สามารถใช้ได้อีกประมาณ 50 ปี บริเวณเหมืองมีโรงไฟฟ้าที่ใช้ถ่านหินชนิดนี้เป็นเชื้อเพลิงตั้งอยู่หลายโรง

ถึงแม้นักท่องเที่ยวจะไม่ได้รับอนุญาตให้ลงไปบริเวณขุดเจาะถ่านหินเพราะมีอันตรายจากวัตถุระเบิดที่ใช้ทำเหมือง จึงได้จัดทำจุดชมวิวสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวซึ่งเป็นสวนหย่อม สามารถมองเห็นการทำงานของรถขุดตักแร่ซึ่งอยู่ห่างออกไปเป็นมุมกว้าง

เคยไป 1 ครั้งเมื่อ 5-6 ปีที่แล้ว มองลงไปข้างล่างเห็นรถขุดแร่คันเท่าไม้ขีดไฟ แต่จริงๆแล้วมันคันใหญ่มาก เคยเห็นในรูปสูงประมาณ 2 เท่าของผู้ชายที่ยืนอยู่ข้างๆเลย

On January 13, 2002, Her Royal Highness Princess Galayani Vadhana Klomluang Naradhiwas Rajanagarinda visited the TECC. Mr. Chanatt Laohawatana, FIO Director, had proposed to rename the Thai Elephant Conservation Centre as the National Elephant Institute, to enlarge the scope of Thai elephant conservation and relieve the problems faced by the elephants.

The main objective in establishing the new National Elephant Institute is to develop elephant conservation in a sustainable way and preserve the local traditions, including local wisdom and knowledge, for the next generation. Apart from the above, the National Elephant Institute also aims to improve the tourism business, in which elephants are heavily involved, for the benefit of both elephants and tourists.

Elephant rides are available from 8:00 AM-3:30 PM every day. The duration is 10 minutes for a ride inside the Institute. Rides through the woods and mountains nearby last from half an hour to one hour.
